We will have three core choices of transmission:

SHIMANO 1X12 GRX RX820 40T or 42T + 11/51T CASSETTE

SHIMANO 2X11 GRX RX800 48/31T or 46/T30T + 11/40T CASSETTE

SRAM 1X12 (WIRELESS SHIFTING) - RIVAL AXS EAGLE MULLET 40T + 10-52T CASSETTE

The lowest first gear is achieved with a Shimano GRX 2x11 set up, with 46/30T at the front and 11-40T at the rear. This combination gives 19 gear inches in 1st gear, based on a 650b x 45mm tyre.

However the 12 speed 1x set ups offered by both Shimano and Sram now give the range of a 2x set up by using a massive 51/52T cassette at the rear.

To lower the gearing on the 1x set ups you can upgrade with a smaller chainring e.g. 38T by Wolftooth.

N.B. A Sram Apex mullet 1x12 mechanical shifting set up is also available which is a cheaper option along with lower spec GRX RX610 1x12. Higher spec Sram wireless set ups are also an option i.e. Force and Red - message us for details.
