KIBO DISC COCKPIT
Bars: The bars are 620mm wide double butted alloy riser bars. The width provides more control on rough terrain than narrower bars. We also offer a range of other bars as upgrade options such as the Jones bar, a heat treated Nitto riser bar, the Denham bar (currently out of stock) or butterfly bars. Bar options can be found here

Shifters: We use the 10 speed Microsoft thumb shifters - they have an excellent build quality as well as great performance. The left hand friction shifter controls the front chainwheel and the right hand indexing shifter smoothly transitions through the 11-36 cassette - the right shifter also has the option to switch to friction mode in case you have cable stretch which you’re unable to sort on the road. All of our Kibo's are now fitted with downtube adjusters to tension the cables as required.
The stem: We offer a choice of ahead (1 1/8" threadless steerer) and quill (for 1" threaded steerer).

The ahead is a Zenith hollow forged AL6061-T6 aluminium stem for 25.4mm diameter handlebars. We have a range of lengths which which will be decided during the design stage of your bike. We often getting asked - quill or ahead? For expedition touring we recommend the ahead - the wider diameter steerer and stem combination is stiffer and stronger.

Our standard quill stem is the Nitto FU82 riser stem made from cold forged aluminium and has a beautiful finish.

Grips: The Kibo Disc now comes equipped with the Ergon biokork GP5's as standard, a very comfortable grip for touring giving support to the hand and wrists and providing a number of hand positions, ideal for expedition expedition cycling
Headset, spacers and stem also available in black
