Stanforth Bikes design and build custom expedition and touring bikes in the UK.

We launched our first expedition bike, the Kibo, in 2014. It was designed first and foremost as an all-terrain long distance touring bike.
​
The range has now expanded and also includes the Skyelander touring bikes, the 'world record breaking' Stanforth Conway for faster touring, the Pamira all-terrain tourer as well as our new gravel tourer, the Torro.
​
All of our bikes are hand crafted in the UK, with each frame individually built for the customer. The steel frames are built from high quality Reynolds tubing by the country's top framebuilders, including legendary British frame builder Lee Cooper.
All Stanforth Bikes have cross continent touring hardwired into their DNA.
The components have been carefully selected with precision, passion, durability and long distance touring in mind.

Expedition bikes: fully loaded touring
The Kibo and Pamira models are designed for loaded touring. With lower gearing, wider tyres and longer chainstays, they provide stability and reliability in all environments. The Kibo’s 2.0” tyre clearance work well on a combination of roads, tracks and rougher terrain, whereas the Pamira’s bigger tyre clearance and wider diameter tubing, give it the edge on the rougher terrain
All-road: Tarmac, tracks and gravel
The Skyelander is our most popular model, most likely due to its versatility - it comes equipped with a XT triple touring transmission which gives it a great range of low and high gears for touring with front and rear panniers, with tyre clearance of up to 38mm plus mudguards. It’s speedy on the tarmac but capable on canal toe paths and tracks.

The Torro is our most recently launched model - a gravel tourer. With tyre clearance of 27.5” x 1.9 and a 1x or 2x transmission, this is great for the bike packing trips on roads, paths and unpaved surfaces.
For lighter loads and faster touring
The Conway is designed for faster touring with lighter loads. This is the bike that broke the world record for the fastest unsupported crossing of Europe, in 2018. With it’s compact road transmission (50/34T or 46/30T chainset), Reynolds 853 tubing, optional carbon fork and 35mm + mudguard tyre clearance, it provides speedy touring in comfort.
